The 204 Cultural Arts Municipal Building

 

 The 204 Cultural Arts Municipal Building (The 204) envisions a vibrant, connected community engaged in discovering, exploring, and creating. The supportive power of extended family in all its definitions is embraced, as is the belief that the spirit and energy of community, and our participation in it, empowers and transforms. The heartbeat of the Harwich Cultural Districts, The 204 nurtures the voices of artists, and creatives, works to cultivate leaders who lift up our people and work to attract individuals and organizations to provide community programs and resources that will drive the community forward. The warmth, enthusiasm, and unity of our cultural hub echo throughout Harwich, and serves as an example of inclusive art making, kinship, and cultural expression. The 204 is a place where art happens, business happens, life happens and community grows. Its starts a dialog and social infrastructure is fostered.  


The 204 provides rental space to community members, visitors, and alike to use for events, programs, workshops, and conferences. If you are a local group, organization, or individual seeking a space to run your next event, program, or workshop reach out we were here for you!

The 204 holds 40 artists withing 26 artists studios. Artists are able to use their studios to work on their various mediums. From Photography to candle making, home decor and more the 204 artists are a versatile group adding creative vibrance to the Town of Harwich

Throughout the year various organizations, individuals and groups host their own Art Exhibit. Join us September through May for a variety of exhibits. If you are seeking space for a solo show or group show contact us today to learn how you can partake in the space.

From concerts, comedy shows, to fundraisers the 204 offers a wide variety of special events for the community and beyond. Check out their event calendar to learn about the upcoming special events.

The benefit of a Municipal Building is the power of the variety of departments and programs they can offer. From Recreation programs, to special events and workshops from the Health Department and the Youth and Family Services Department the 204 is home to so many great programs for the community through this strong collaboration.

Vendor Markets

Each December the 204 hosts their annual Holiday Market and in May their annual Spring Market. These markets bring in outside vendors to compliment the artist studios and offers over 50 vendors for a day of celebrating local creatives.
